Where an ‘in-house’ course is required, please contact us to ensure we can accommodate your required dates. Your provisional booking will be held for 7 days. Confirmation of a place will only be made once a completed booking form and full payment (or by agreement a purchase order) has been received.
Note: When requesting a group course at your workplace, please ensure that there is sufficient space for the course to be conducted; bearing in mind practical demonstration and participation is required. If you are unsure please contact us for advice.
Payment must be made at least 14 days in advance of the course. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.
Settling your payment by invoice
Full payment must be made within 30 days of the invoice date. If you wish to arrange alternative terms of payment please let us know upon booking.
We reserve the right to withhold our services when payment is not received as per our Terms & Conditions.

In such circumstances, you will be given as much notice as possible and the offer of a transfer to another course or a full refund of fees paid.
Late arrival or missed sessions
If you arrive late for a course, or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable. (To conform with Health & Safety Executive requirements for Statutory Certificates, attendance at all sessions is mandatory).
Where a candidate fails to attend a course (without notification as per the ‘Cancellations’ section) the full course fee will remain payable to Heart Training.
Issue of certificates
Certificates are only issued upon receipt of full payment, full attendance and satisfactory assessment.
FAW re-qualification courses
To be eligible to attend a two day Re-qualification Course, candidates must be in possession of a valid First Aid at Work Certificate issued by an Ofqual approved provider, which is ‘in date’ on the last day of the re-qualification course.
Guidelines for candidates and employers
The duties of a first aider can be physically demanding. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that candidates are free from any condition which would affect their capability, and that they have the aptitude to cope with an intensive course of study.
Course attendees should wear suitable clothing (not skirts or dresses) for the course. It would also be appreciated if ladies don’t wear lipstick as this stains the manikins.
